Chinese Department successfully held "Cool Sale "

On November 29, 2017, a fantastic gourmet feast was successfully conducted on the first floor of BFSU Chinese Department.The annual "Cool Sale" event hosted by the Chinese Language Training Center of the Chinese College warmed us in the cold winter once again. The event received strong support from all aspects of the department, and a total of 30 classes participated in the "Cool Sale."

Unlike in previous years, this"Cool Sale" first voted through the WeChat platform, which allowed the teachers and students to vote on the "Cool Sale" posters of all classes.The page has been viewed more than 7000 times.In the end, the advanced class E1 won the first prize, and the class C3 and D1 won the second prize. The class A1, A3 and B1 won the third prize.This preheating quickly aroused everyone's enthusiasm for the "Cool Sale", at the same time, the menuon the poster also let everyone know what kinds of food will be sold in advance.

On the day of "Cool Sale",the special food from various countries attracted the teachers and students from our university and other universities, and many parents took their children to taste it. There werediverse kinds of special food from various countries, like Thai food Tom Yum Kung, Italian food Tiramisu, and Spanish food Sangria, which made everyone unwilling to tear themselves away from the event. In order to promote the food of their countries,the students have come up with all kinds of ideas that attract eye balls, like wearing uniform clothing, dancing collective dance and so on. The teachers and students were also infected by the atmosphere, and actively interacted with foreign students.

"Cool Sale" provided agreat platform for communication for international students.Showing their culture through diet, also made them have a better understanding of different cultures.In this process,they actively communicated with students from different countries in Chinese, and enjoyed the fun of speaking Chinese. At the same time, this communication experience have also made them full of sense of achievement and confidence to learn Chinese.
