The first working meeting of "International Chinese Education Development Index Report (2022)" was held by School of Chinese Language and Literature

   On March 28, 2022, the first working meeting of "International Chinese Education Development Index Report (2022)" was held bySchool of Chinese Language and Literature. The conference was also the first academic salon of the semester for the Institute of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and the International Institute of Chinese Education. The conference was attended by all the teachers and students from the Institute of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, the Institute of International Chinese Language Education, and some teachers from other departments and the office of CI. The meeting was presided over by Teacher Chen Hui. Professor Xiong Wenxin made a wonderful speech at the meeting. The conference will explain, discuss and answer questions on index framework, project division and use of information collection tools.

  Dr. Chen introduced the preparatory work and overall structure of the International Chinese Education Development Index Project, and explained the rationale for setting primary, secondary and tertiary indicators. She clarified the division of labor of the project according to the needs, and confirmed the members of the teacher team responsible for collecting information on indicators one by one. In the process of answering questions, Dr. Chen defined the connotation and extension of the index settings, which enabled the participants to have a deeper understanding of the content covered by different indicators.

  Professor Xiong Wenxin made a presentation on the theme of access to information, which introduced the tools and methods of searching for relevant information, showed the tools used in repository, web site browsing and foreign language translation involved in the searching process, recommended the relevant software for data summary, and promoted writing on the basis of information sharing and exchange and communication resources within the team.

  Professor Dai Manchun, coordinator of the project, stressed the importance of internal division of labor and cooperation and the organization of the research team. The meeting clarified the task decomposition and information collection work, and provided strong technical guidance for teachers and students.
