Recently, results list of The Eighth Session of Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) of the Ministry of Education has been announced. On Classics by Mr. Zhan Furui won the First Prize, and Study of Foreign Civilizations in the Han Dynasty by Professor Shi Yuntao won the third prize. Mencius in an Alien Land: Western Studies on Mencius and Its Relevance to the Construction of Contemporary Confucian Ethics written by professor Han Zhenhua, won the Youth Achievement Award. The Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution of the Ministry of Education (Humanities and Social Sciences) is the most credible and influential award in the field of humanities and social sciences in China, which is selected every three years.

Professor Shi Yuntao's The Silk Road in the Mirror image of Tang Poetry won “ the second prize of the 16th Philosophy and Social Science Achievement Award of Beijing ”, and associate professor Bai Liang's Literary Theory was awarded the “Beijing High Quality Undergraduate Course”.

The teaching team in charge of “Literature” course led by Ma Xiaodong and Han Zhenhua was awarded the “ Excellent Grass-roots Teaching Team of Beijing Foreign Studies University ”, and Xu Xiaofeng won the Second Prize of “Sun Xiandong Scholarship for Academic Innovation ” .
