On the afternoon of April 21, Professor Song Jihua of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Beijing Normal University gave a lecture on "Multi Disciplinary Perspectives of International Chinese Education Digital Resources" in the Wenhua Hall of the School of Chinese Language and Literature(SCLL). The lecture was presided over by Professor Zhu Yong, the Associate Dean of SCLL . More than 100 teachers and students and many editors of FLTRP participated in the academic feast.
"This is an era of technological prosperity, academic interaction and ideological innovation", "We should learn to examine, think and innovate the problems or disciplines that we are persistently concerned about from a broader disciplinary field, a more mature disciplinary system, and a more systematic disciplinary cognition, and strive to learn from them!”Professor Song Jihua's opening remarks were straight to the point and directly pointed out the theme of the lecture.
In the lecture, Professor Song explained the proposition of "digital resources construction" from three aspects: first, the past review of digital resources, focusing on the cognitive sources of digital resources from the perspectives of vocational education, international Chinese education and national Chinese education. The second is the engineering logic of digital resource construction. Professor Song believes that the solution to the problem in line with the development of the times, in a word, is that "use good tools (software) to temper good methods, use good methods to create good processes, and only a good process can produce a good result". The development of software "in practical use is king"! Third, the integrated cognition of digital resource construction. Professor Song pointed out that in order to achieve rational and dialectical cognition, we should pay attention to the following four aspects: "Find the bottleneck","Understand the nature of things", "Race against time" and "Prevent the blind from grasping the elephant".In addition, Professor Song has repeatedly stressed the importance of constant reading, "Fragmentary reading can not make a person become a useful person." In the interactive part of the lecture, he said bluntly, "There is no limit to learning. Don't set limits on your life."
Finally, Professor Zhu Yong made a wonderful summary of Professor Song Jihua's lecture, emphasizing that research should not only have a broad vision, but also have interdisciplinary awareness. During the interactive session, Mr. Song answered questions about "the platform for compiling international Chinese textbooks", "cross-disciplinary development", "how to ensure the communication of online teaching" and other questions that teachers and students were interested in. After the lecture, many students had a heated discussion with Mr. Song. Professor Song Jihua's lecture is rich in content and life inspiration, which is highly praised by teachers and students.
